Snow

Snow: "

Snow in morning and clearing late afternoon, by 8:00 stars were out. Low temp -3 and a high of 2.5. My guess is that we got 12-15 cm of snow. The Roar of the Rings curling has started so I will be watching a fair bit of it, In the afternoon game today Jones lost.
Photos are of the snow on the trees.

Snow and clouds

Snow and clouds: "

Mostly sunny with light wind, low temp of -6 and the high was -2.
I used the snow blower to finish clearing driveway this morning and was to Canadian Tire for a few minutes. This afternoon I was out on the skis for a hour, slow going, the snow had not covered all the weeds and grass yet. The GPS unit (Edith) showed that I travelled 1.4 km.
14 km on EB.
Photos are snow blower, clouds to the south of ball field and the evening clouds as sun was setting, you can see the weeds in the field.

Too Precious To Ignore

Too Precious To Ignore: "
December 7th sunset.

I read the Daily Motivator every morning. I avoided going to the woods yesterday because it was so cold, and I thought about staying home again today; but then I read this and changed my mind!

'You could probably get by with not doing much today. But then you would have wasted an entire unique and highly valuable day.

You could come up with some very plausible excuses for not taking action. But then you would have to settle for excuses when you could have had accomplishment and fulfillment.

You could avoid the possibility of disappointment and discomfort by hiding away from life. But then you would miss out on all the beautiful, enriching possibilities as well.

Choose instead to accept and experience the ups and downs of life as each moment unfolds.

Decide to give your very best to the opportunity that is this day.

Focus on a truly meaningful goal and put forth the effort to make it happen.

Take bold, effective steps in the direction of your dreams.

Life is far too precious to just ignore.

Step forward, do what you know you can do, and live the richness of this beautiful day.'

Island Snow Storm

Island Snow Storm: "
A December without snow is unnatural to me! We finally got our first snow storm of the season! I'm homebound for the day but the weather channel says the snow should ease up by evening. I hope to get out into the woods tomorrow! Yey snow!

Cavendish Coast

Cavendish Coast: "
Last weekend I had great plans to go deeper into the woods, but I decided to make a detour. Just before I left, I saw this colossal rainbow outside across the road, it was gone within five minutes!

I decided to drive to Cavendish Beach. Driving slowly is essential in this area because of the large number of foxes. Isn't he beautiful?

I suspected the beach itself would be closed, but didn't realize that there were half a dozen lookouts along the road! I was so happy! Here are some of the photographs I took. I seriously believe in 'nature therapy'. An afternoon alone by the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, taking in the blues and pinks of the sky and sea, smelling the fresh salt air, and wandering the cliffs alone while the waves crash below me....it's inexplicable! Enjoy! (...and get outside will ya?)

Office building

Office building: "
Overcast all day with showers in morning. Low temp was 3 and a high of 11.
12 km on EB today, I donated plasma mid morning, it was a two arm donation as vein was missed in left arm, so then had use right arm. This afternoon I installed a new vent for the clothes dryer. After supper I was to the Charlottetown mall, a lot of people around.
Photo is of the new office building on Fitzroy street, I think they must be near finished.
